Twenty Somethings… A Little Reminder

Twenty Somethings

Twenty Somethings…

Twenty Somethings

Your teenage years have come and gone. You practically blinked and now you’re 23; a college graduate, and finally settling into your first job out of school.

You’re unsure of what’s next, if you’re on the right path, surrounding yourself with the right people, the list goes on.

Take a deep breath, and remind yourself that you are not alone. Your fears, questions, concerns, and thoughts are all normal and valid.

Stop worrying about the future and questioning the past. Trust that everything that has gotten you to this point has happened for a reason.

Twenty Somethings

Take these years to learn about who you are, what you like, and where your passions lie. Listen to your heart… as cliche as it might sound. And don’t let anyone tell you that you’re incapable of anything.

Follow your instincts and rid yourself of situations you no longer wish to be apart of, or people who no longer care about your best interest.

Challenge yourself and take risks. Start a new hobby, take that new job, publish your work, seriously… do it! Stop listening to the fearful voice in your head that’s telling you otherwise.

Listen to feedback but don’t be so hard on yourself. Learn from your mistakes and grow, both professionally and personally.

Explore, travel, love, but most importantly learn about who you are.

Welcome to your twenties, full of uncertainty and self exploration. Embrace it, live it, love it. Because soon enough you’ll blink again and be 30.

Thanks for the kind reminders! I’m 25, working as a digital marketing contractor and blogger. Did I think this was my path? Nope, but I’m beyond happy with how my twenties have been treating me and can’t wait to see what else is in store.

I am 24 and not a graduate. But everyday I am getting closer to the dream/ life I want to live. Personally I feel your 20’s are for building your empire. With or without a degree.

  • So true! Really resonated with this. Thank you!

  • My 20s were really a time that I changed the most. Where I was in my early 20s to my late 20s I was a completely different person, for the better. So much changing happens during that decade!

Hi Ruth, thanks for reading my post! You are so right. I’m in my early 20s and I already see a big difference in myself from when I first turned 20. There’s so much learning and growing at this time in our lives. It’s all so exciting!
